Intravenous Therapy

IV Therapy.
Straight to the Source.

When your body needs more than the digestive system can deliver, we go direct. Nutrients, immune support, energy, and healing — administered intravenously for maximum absorption and effect.

Why IV Therapy

What your gut can't always do, a drip can.

Oral supplements work — but they're limited by your digestive system's ability to absorb them. For many people, especially those with gut dysfunction, chronic illness, or depleted stores, oral supplementation simply isn't enough.

IV therapy bypasses digestion entirely. Nutrients go directly into the bloodstream, delivering therapeutic doses that oral supplementation can't match. The result is faster, more measurable improvement — in energy, immune function, recovery, and overall vitality.

I've seen this work in profound ways — including personally. My father reversed prostate cancer using high-dose IV Vitamin C. This therapy is a cornerstone of my practice for a reason.

High-Dose IV Vitamin C

One of the most powerful tools in integrative medicine.

High-dose IV Vitamin C is one of the most studied and underutilized therapies in naturopathic medicine. At therapeutic intravenous doses, it acts as a potent antioxidant and immune modulator — delivering effects that oral supplementation simply cannot replicate.

It supports immune function, reduces inflammation, improves cellular resilience, and in oncology settings, has been shown to reduce treatment side effects and improve quality of life significantly.

This is medicine that works — and it works because it goes exactly where the body needs it, without the limitations of the digestive system.

High-Dose IV Vitamin C is used for:

  • Cancer adjunct support (alongside conventional treatment)
  • Post-chemotherapy recovery and fatigue
  • Chronic or recurrent infections
  • Immune system dysregulation
  • Post-viral syndromes (including long COVID)
  • Deep cellular oxidative stress
  • Wound healing and recovery
  • General immune optimization
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Adrenal support and burnout
The Cornerstone of This Practice

IV Iron Infusion.
Tired of being tired?

Iron deficiency is one of the most common and most missed diagnoses — especially in women. Standard blood panels often miss the full picture. Ferritin levels that appear "normal" by conventional standards may still be critically low for your energy, brain function, and vitality.

Why IV iron works when
nothing else has.

Oral iron supplements are notoriously hard on the gut, poorly absorbed, and slow to rebuild stores. For many women — especially those with heavy periods, gut dysfunction, or chronic fatigue — oral iron simply isn't enough.

IV iron bypasses all of that. We deliver therapeutic doses directly into the bloodstream, rebuild iron stores rapidly and safely, and most patients begin to feel the difference within days to weeks.

This has become the most transformative treatment in my practice. I have seen it change lives — energy returning, brain fog lifting, hair growing back, mood stabilizing. The results are real and they are often profound.

Important Note

IV iron requires lab work prior to treatment. Labs can be sent in advance or a requisition can be provided at your appointment. Available at The Poppy Clinic (Burlington) only.

Common Questions

What to Expect

Is IV therapy safe?

Yes — when administered by a trained practitioner in a clinical setting. All IV therapies at this practice are performed under medical supervision with full monitoring protocols. A thorough intake assessment is completed before any IV is administered.

How long does a session take?

It varies by protocol. A Myers' Cocktail typically takes 30–45 minutes. High-dose Vitamin C runs 1–2 hours depending on dose. Iron infusions are generally 30–60 minutes. You'll receive a clear time estimate at your consultation.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. An initial assessment is required before your first IV treatment. This ensures the right protocol is chosen for your specific needs and that it's safe for you.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends entirely on your goals and condition. Some patients benefit from a single intensive course; others maintain regular IV therapy as part of their ongoing wellness protocol. We'll build a plan together.

Is IV therapy covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by plan. Many extended health benefit plans cover naturopathic visits. Check with your provider regarding IV therapy specifically.
